Setup wizard

The fastest path from zero to a verified server. The wizard runs in the dashboard and is also reachable any time via /mgslink setup in Discord.

   Invite the bot

   A one-click OAuth flow with the right permissions pre-selected: Manage Roles, Manage Nicknames, Send Messages.

   Confirm presence

   The wizard waits for the bot to join, then auto-detects your guild settings.

   Pick the verified role

   A role-picker pulls every role from your server. The wizard warns you if the role is above MGS Link in your hierarchy (it can't assign it).

   Set the log channel

   Optional. MGS Link posts a small Components v2 embed on every verification or sync event.

   Add a nickname template

   Default is {robloxName}. Use the live preview to confirm. Variables are listed in the editor.

   Add your Roblox group

   Paste the numeric group ID. The wizard fetches the group name from Roblox to confirm.

   Map ranks to roles

   Drag rank rows to reorder. Pick "highest rank only" or "additive" mode based on how you run your server.

   Test verification

   Run /verify yourself in your server. The wizard watches for the success event and ticks the step.

   Enable auto sync

   Once you're happy, flip the master switch. The worker starts processing events.

    You're live

    Your members can now run /verify. Logs and sync history appear in the dashboard immediately.
